Target
Insurance general agency founded in 2006 that runs the integrated insurance-management platform Goodrich. It posted 2020 revenue of KRW 331.2bn and operating profit of KRW 11.4bn (4th in the industry) but an operating loss of KRW 16.1bn in 2021.
Deal rationale
A JC Partners official said the deal gave the firm a portfolio spanning non-life insurers, life insurers and GAs, and that it expected synergies by using a private fund's fast, flexible decision-making (Financial News). Of the KRW 185bn, KRW 100bn was injected as growth capital. Per The Fact, JC Partners reportedly invested on the growth potential of the GA industry and Goodrich. In September 2026 founder Han Seung-pyo exercised a call option to buy JC Partners' entire stake for KRW 400bn, with JC reporting about 2.4x and a 21% IRR.
